Biking is a popular and pleasant way to experience the St. Olavsleden trail a little faster. You can bike many parts of the trail with a normal bike (although a road bike isn’t recommended) as the trail goes along tarmac and gravel roads. In some places the cycle path takes an alternative route though. The trail map indicates where the cycle path differs from the normal hiking trail, however this is not yet marked along the trail itself. If you don’t have your own bike, you can rent either an electric bike or a 7-gear bike. If you only want to bike one section of the trail, you can take the bike with you on the train that follows the trail.
